After making her debut with Salman Khan’s Hero opposite Sooraj Pancholi, Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty is currently shooting for debutant director Deba Mitra Hasan’s forthcoming film Motichoor Chaknachoor opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui. However, the latest reports suggest that the actress’ father and actor Suniel Shetty has been asked to stay away from her film as he has been interfering a little too much in daughter’s professional life.
A report in Mumbai Mirror states that Suniel Shetty has been meddling a lot in Motichoor Chaknachoor, which is not going down too well with the makers of the film. So much so, that a public notice has been issued against the actor for his interference. The Mirror report states, “On Thursday, a public notice—issued on March 13 by Advocates Ramesh and Kusum Jain—surfaced, informing that the film’s producers Rajesh and Kiran Bhatia are “the only final authority and decision-making authority on every aspect and or/every project of M/s Woodpecker Movies Pvt Ltd. Mr Suniel Shetty has no right, title and/or interest in the said film and has no capacity or any authority to either directly or indirectly discuss or take any decisions, negotiate, strategise or overlook the edit or in any manner interfere or be involved with the film Motichoor Chaknachoor or with its cast, crews, technical teams or coordinate with the studio involved with the film or its creative and marketing teams or post productions or any person connected or with the trade”. The makers closed the notice with a word of caution, adding, “If done so, it shall be considered as trespassing and breach of confidentiality at its own risk, cost and consequences.”
When the
Mohra actor was contacted to comment on the same he told Mirror. “I will talk
at the right time.” Athiya Shetty was last seen in Arjun Kapoor-Anil
Kapoor-Ileana D’Curz starrer Mubarakan (2017).
