Bollywood actress Jacqueliene Fernandez has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her bubbly personality and her versatile performances. Over the past few years, she has been making the headlines for her romantic involvement with alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. For those who don’t remember the latter is being investigated for his money laundering case. Ever since his arrest, she has been constantly summoned by the officials for questioning.
As reported by Free Press Journal, on Wednesday, she was yet again summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for a fresh round of questioning in the money laundering case involving her rumoured ex-boyfriend and alleged conman. The Houseful 2 actress has been questioned by the officials in the past for further details about the case. However, throughout the questioning, Jacqueliene maintained that she was unaware of Sukesh’s alleged criminal activities. As per previous media reports, ED alleged that Chandrashekhar used the “proceeds of crime” or illegal money to purchase gifts for the Sri Lankan beauty. The charge sheet, which was filed in 2022, stated that Fernandez enjoyed, “valuables, jewellery, and costly gifts provided by Chandrashekhar despite knowing about his criminal antecedents.” The 38-year-old actress has been questioned by the ED about five times. For the unversed, Sukesh Chandrasekhar has been accused of running an extortion racket worth Rs 200 crore from the inside of Tihar jail. He reportedly duped people on the pretext of promising them jobs and is accused of cheating many people, including high-profile individuals such as former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh's wife, Aditi Singh, and Malvinder's wife Japna Singh, worth over several crores of rupees.
On the work front, Jacqueliene Fernandez will be next seen in the multi-starrer Welcome To The Jungle. The movie stars actors like Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Johnny Lever, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Rajpal Yadav, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, and Disha Patani among many others. She will also be seen in Fateh alongside Sonu Sood.
