Shah Rukh Khan was at his candid best when he interacted with the media and fans during his 50th birthday celebrations at Taj Lands End, Bandra.

From films and family to future plans, he opened up about everything.

"I love Salman Khan. He is a superstar, let's not create controversy here," King Khan said when asked about his much-written-about rivalry with the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor.

He also played down the Dilwale-Bajirao Mastani clash, saying, "Deepika (Padukone) has always been my lucky charm and I hope her luck rubs off on my film (Dilwale). Everyone is a friend. It's unfortunate that both the films are releasing on the same date, but I hope they do equally well."

Stating that he was ready to push himself as an actor, SRK added his idea is to do three films in a year. About his upcoming releases, he revealed, "FAN is my most special film till date. It's the kind of movie I have always wanted to make and work in."

Like many of his co-stars, will he try his luck abroad? "I have not received any offer from Hollywood or elsewhere," was the answer.

The Baadshaah of Bollywood said he had no plans to quit smoking either. "I completed half century and my resolution is to smile more. But no, I am not going to quit my bad habits," he stated.

SRK got emotional while talking about his late parents. "I lost them and gained Aryan, Suhana and AbRam instead," he said.

The superstar also lamented the rising intolerance against Pakistani artistes. "Creativity is secular. Singers, actors, dancers... you should not talk to them about their religion. Also, whenever such tensions arise, don't blame religion."

Always a ladies' man, SRK had a special advice for women. "Ladies, don't give up your day job for your night husband," he said to a loud round of applause.
The king of romance also revealed the secret of his popularity among women. "I treat every woman I meet with dignity. To love a woman is to treat her with dignity. That's the secret of my romance," he concluded.
