Just 2 hours after SpotboyE reported that Udta Punjab has been leaked online (WHAT THE FU**! SABOTAGE!! Udta Punjab leaked online!!!, June 15), the film’s producers Anurag Kashyap and Ekta Kapoor have approached the Cyber Crime Cell to tackle the situation.

The two lodged a complaint at the Cyber Crime Cell in Bandra Kurla Complex about half an hour ago. The duo has asked the division to disable all the links of the movie’s online version.

2 days from its release date, Team Udta Punjab suffered a severe blow when major portions of the film were leaked online this afternoon. Interestingly, even the single scene that the Bombay High Court wanted to be deleted – that of Shahid Kapoor’s character urinating on the audience – is a part of the leaked copy.

The shocking part was that the copy bore the ‘For Censor’ stamp, which indicates that it was the same copy that was with CBFC for certification.

Coming back to Anurag and Ekta, the duo has been fighting a long battle for the film’s release – first, against the Censor Board and now, this.

SpotboyE wishes that the mastermind behind the leak is caught and gets his share of punishment.
