Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi has been the most anticipated films since its inception. After the trailer was released on the internet, the fans just couldn't contain their excitement and were pumped up to see the film in the theatres. Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, a lockdown was forced in the country. In the midst of all this, there were strong speculations that producer of the film Karan Johar has been dropped out as the producer of Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film and these rumours started to make noise on social media.
In the light of Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise, netizens sparked the nepotism debate and targetted some Bollywood biggies while also demanding a ban on KJo. However, as rumours were rife that Karan Johar's name as the producer of is been removed in the wake of the backlash he faced after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, we came to know that he is very much a part of the film. According to a trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and tweeted that the rumours are untrue as he claimed that Another production house Reliance Entertainment has clarified it, "IMPORTANT... News doing the rounds of #KaranJohar not being part of #Sooryavanshi is untrue, clarifies #RelianceEntertainment."
Meanwhile, Sooryavanshi which was originally scheduled to release on March 24, but got interrupted due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, has been postponed and it will now be hitting the big screens on Diwali this year while it is also reported that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s ’83 will be releasing in Christmas.
The movie also stars Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh who will be making special appearances in the film as Bajirao Singham and Simmba respectively.
