Sooraj Pancholi marked his debut opposite actress Athiya Shetty in the film Hero. The actor also starred in the film Satellite Shankar post that. It was only recently that Sooraj found him being connected to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The actor was earlier booked for abetment of suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code in connection to actress Jiah Khan’s suicide in 2013. Speaking with India Today, Sooraj Pancholi said, “I wanted to be an actor and there are, let me say this, there are very few people who want to be associated with me or want to work with me only because of my case. And I feel it is very unfair, justice delayed is justice not granted.” Pancholi mentioned about the problems he is facing and said that the case is repeatedly delayed because Jiah Khan’s mother, Rabia Khan refuses to show up for the court proceedings. The actor mentioned how he feels it is very unfair and spoke on how justice delayed is justice not granted.
Sooraj Pancholi also mentioned how his mother is extremely worried about him after his name was brought up in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and that of his former manager Disha Salian. The actor said, “My mother thinks that I’m going to harm myself. And she has spoken to me a couple of times. Even after Sushant’s death, she spoke to me saying, ‘Sooraj, whatever it is, if there’s anything in your heart please come and talk to us. Don’t be quiet.’ I’m not a very talkative person when it comes to my problems. I don’t discuss with my family because I know they’re stressed because of me.” The Hero actor mentioned how his mom asked him to come and discuss his problems with the family and requested him to not be quiet.
