But Sooraj will finally step in front of the cameras again after a year long wait.
SpotboyE.com has it that Zarina Wahab and Aditya Pancholi's son has been signed for Allah Ke Banday director Faruk Kabir's next.
Kabir made his directorial debut with the 2010 film Allah Ke Banday starring Naseeruddin Shah and Sharman Joshi. The film was a dark thriller which revolved around two juvenile delinquents who want revenge from a cruel prison warden.

If all goes per plan, Kabir will start shooting with Sooraj in February, 2017.
This is a long-awaited second chance for the young actor. Even before his debut film, Hero, could hit theatres, Sooraj found himself embroiled in a legal muddle when he was charged with abetting the suicide of actress Jiah Khan. The incident invited a lot of bad press for Sooraj.
Faruk himself has had a taste of unwanted media attention. His marriage to actress Rukhsar came to light in 2011, despite the couple's attempt to keep it under wraps.
