Actor Sonu Sood has been in news for his philanthropic work since April 2020 for helping the migrant workers reach their destination; those were stuck due to COVID-19 lockdown. As per reports in PTI, the actor during a virtual session with We The Women shared of being approached for the central character for films unlike previous times when he was approached for negative roles, also an interesting incident when South superstar Chiranjeevi refused to beat him while filming for his next upcoming venture.
During the live session, he said, “I am getting all hero roles now. I have got four-five brilliant scripts. Let’s hope. It’s new beginnings. It is a new pitch and it will be nice and fun.” Adding further he shared as he was shooting for his next Telugu venture, Acharya, Chiranjeevi refused to hit him as per the script's demand, thinking people will curse him. Sonu said, “We were doing an action sequence and Chiranjeevi sir said, ‘You being in the film is a big problem for us because I can’t hit you in the action scene’. He said if he does that people will curse him.”
Sharing further the makers had to alter certain scenes, keeping in mind the actor’s new image of a hero for helping people. He said, “There was another sequence where he was placing his feet on me but that too was reshot.”
