Sonu Sood is currently like a God to the stranded migrants in Mumbai. The actor is doing everything under the sun to help them reach home safely amidst the Coronavirus crisis. He is the one who arranged for transportation for thousands of migrants and won accolades from all corners. However, yesterday, headlines were all about Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut taking a dig at Sonu. In his column in Saamna editorial, the leader raised a few questions over Sonu's arrangements and said that he'll soon meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and become 'Celebrity Manager of Mumbai'. He raised questions over the sudden rise of 'Mahatma Sonu' and indicated that all of this is staged.
Now, reacting to this, Sonu took to his Twitter handle and wrote that his journey with migrants has been a most special one. Asserting that he has tried to help anyone and everyone who has reached out to him, Sonu thanked the State Governments who helped him do so. His tweet read, "My journey with my migrant brothers & sisters has been the most special one. It's straight from the heart.Right from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari whenever anyone tried to reach me, I've put all my efforts to help them reunite with their families & will continue to do so. I would like to thank all the state governments who helped me in the process. I'm immensely grateful to them for always encouraging my efforts for the entire nation. Jai Hind."
Meanwhile, Sonu Sood recently met Maharashtra's Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aditya Thackeray to discuss about the situation of migrants in the state. Aditya Thackeray took to Twitter to share a picture with the actor and wrote that we stand better together and stronger together.
