For quite some days, the students, across the country, who are going to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) were demanding for a postponement in examinations due to over rising of COVID-19 cases while some are worried about reaching the examination centres as a few states in the country have been severely affected by floods. As students are requesting the government to postpone the date, Sonu Sood - who has earned the title 'Messiah' for his good deeds of helping the stranded migrants amidst the lockdown - has once again extended help to the students who are appearing for NEET and JEE this year.

The Simmba actor took to his Twitter handle and shared a tweet stating that if the government does not postpone the exams, he will arrange private transportation for the people who are stuck and can't reach their respective destination. The actor tweet read, "I am standing with you. If you are stuck anywhere, let me know your areas of travel. I will help you reach your examination centres." In another tweet, he mentioned that no one should miss their exam because of resources. "In case #JEE_NEET happens: To all the students who will be appearing & are struck in flood-hit areas of Bihar, Assam & Gujrat. Do let me know ur areas of travel. Trying to make ur travel arrangements to reach ur examination centres. No one should miss their exam bec of resources," his tweet read.

Earlier, Sonu Sood even demanded to postpone the upcoming JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 exams. He said, "This is not an examination only for students. It’s an examination for the Government too. Govt. has an opportunity to excel by postponing #JEE_NEET for 60 days. Make it happen and bring those smiles back. Students & Govt. can prepare in this time window. #PostponeJEE_NEET"

Those in favour of the postponement, some students even petitioned the Supreme Court to intervene but the Supreme Court dismissed the students' plea, saying that "ultimately life has to go on and the career of the students cannot be put on peril for long and a full academic year cannot be wasted," as reported by BBC News.
