Bollywood actor Sonu Sood became 'messaih' to many people in the tough times of the Coronavirus pandemic. When the country went into lockdown for the first time, without hesitation, Sood took it on him to safely send migrant workers back home. As India fights the second wave of the pandemic, the actor continues to tirelessly work and help the needy. Now, amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Sonu Sood reacted to Odisha District Magistrate's tweet on taking credit for the patient's hospital bed.
On Twitter, the actor made tweets and clarified his stance. He also shared screenshots to address the tweet. Sonu Sood tweeted, "Sir, We never claimed that we approached you, it's needy who approached us & we arranged the bed for him, attached are the chats for your reference.Ur office is doing a great job & u can double-check that we had helped him too. Have DM you his contact details. Jai Hind.”
For the unversed, Sonu Sood was requested to arrange a bed for a Coronavirus positive patient in Odisha. And, the actor did so too. However, the Collector and District Magistrate of Odisha's Ganjam tweeted saying that the actor had no communication with them, in regards to a hospital bed for the said patient. The tweet read: "We don’t received any communication from @SoodFoundation or @SonuSood . The requested patient is in Home isolation and stable. No bed issues @BrahmapurCorp is monitoring it. @CMO_Odisha (sic)." Take a look at the tweets below:
Meanwhile, after Sood clarified his stance, his fans and followers on Twitter extended support to the actor. One wrote, "This clarification has come at a great time, indeed! Now some haters will cry in a corner.” Another social media user tweeted, "इस कलियुग में रोज भगवान को भी गालियां मिलती हैं।आप बहुत महान कार्य कर रहे है।keep your great work going.” Amidst the crisis, Sonu Sood has helped in several ways, from providing oxygen concentrators to more. And, the actor continues to help many.
