About last night, Sonam Kapoor took to her Instagram to share the dreadful news of how humanity seems to have been non-existent among humans. The actress shared a post of a dog who suffered miserably after getting beaten by the watchman of a building. The incident took place at the Turf View building in Worli, where the resident of the building asked the manager to beat up a dog who entered the building premises to seek shelter due to the heavy rains.


Sonam Kapoor shared a video of the dog wriggling and screaming in pain, which is hurtful to the eyes. The actress further went to explaining the entire situation in a series of messages on her Instagram stories, finally post a full fleshed post seeking help for the poor dog. In her series of messages, the Neerja star described how the cruelty took place. According to the actresses’ information, the dog who entered the building premises to seek shelter was advised by a resident of the building to the watchman’s and manager of the premises to beat the dog until the time the dog does not scream and cry, so that next time no other dog will think of entering the premises. The resident also gave thorough instructions that incase an animal lover comes to seek help, that person also should be beaten.   


Sonam’s post shared by her on her social media seeking out help read, “Please help! An FIR has been registered with the Worli Police Station by Bombay Animal Rights on 27/7/19 as Nishank had stopped responding to all our calls All videos & evidence available & provided to the police We need help for this Pup from our animal welfare community BOMBAY ANIMAL RIGHTS 9920388000.”

In response to this cruelty by the resident in the building and the poor dog going through immense pain several other celebrities from the fraternity commented on the post made by the actress. While Riddhima Kapoor Sahni commented, “This is beyond horrible !!!! My heart breaks just looking at this ! #stopanimalcrueltynow,” actress Esha Gupta wrote, “We need stricter laws against animal cruelty.” Tiger Shroff’s mother Ayesha posted, “This is inhuman!!!!”


About today, Malaika Arora also took to her Instagram to share this news with her fans, she shared Sonam Kapoor’s story on her IG and wrote, “Absolutely hateful and despicable!!! What kind of people would do such a thing!!!”


Anushka Sharma who is known to be a lover of dogs, shared this cruelty on Instagram, her post read, “The inhumanity of this act is just unbelievable. This is the time for our community to step up and find a way to help get justice to a soul that can’t stand up for himself. If there is any way one can reach out to help, this is the time. Later, after the action taken by Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma to save the poor dog, John Abraham shared an update through his Twitter handle seeking justice and finally putting an end to this cruelty against animals. The actor shared about the incident and called for the animal lovers around town to stage a protest in front of the building Turf View in Worli, where the incident took place, where the resident instructed the building manager to beat the dog and also any animal lover who would try to save him. 


While Sonam Kapoor is busy with The Zoya Factor co-starring Dulquer Salman, John Abraham will be seen in the film Batla House which is scheduled to release on August 15th, 2019.
