Actress Sonakshi Sinha is basking in the success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Her portrayal of the mother-daughter duo, Rehaana and Fareedan, left the viewers impressed. Having made a name for herself in the Hindi entertainment industry, it seems like she is all set to tie the knot with her rumoured boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal. If reports are to be believed, they are planning to exchange wedding vows in Mumbai, later this month.
As reported by India.com, having worked together in the film Double XL (2022), co-starring Huma Qureshi and Mahat Raghavendra, Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding date and venue have been unveiled. Yes, you read that right! The rumoured couple is all set to marry each other on June 23. According to the media portal, they will host their friends and industry colleagues, acquaintances after their wedding rituals. Quoting another media report, the portal stated that their wedding invite, which is styled like a magazine cover, read “The rumors are true.” The celebration of their wedding will be held in Mumbai’s Bastian. According to the instructions on the wedding invite, they have asked their guests to dress in formal attire. For those who don’t know, they met at a party hosted by Salman Khan. They fell in love after working together in Double XL and kept their relationship low profile. It is to be noted, that the actress made her Bollywood debut with Khan’s film Dabangg and Zaheer made his debut with Notebook (2019), a film which was produced by Salman Khan. Fans are eagerly waiting for the couple to officially announce their nuptials.
Talking about his bond with Sonakshi, Zaheer in an interview with SpotboyE has said, that he had an amazing time working with her in Double XL. He had said, “It’s a great feeling to wake up in the morning and go to work with your best friend. Other than that she is also a bhandar of talent. I have learned so much from her, I remember I used to straight up ask her so many questions on the sets of ‘Double XL. It was great to have so much talent I was exposed to learn from and soak in the knowledge. Working with Sonakshi in every possible way has been one of the best experiences of my life.”
