Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel's Twitter account got suspended for tweet supposedly sparking religious hatred. While netizens stood divided on this, singer Sona Mohapatra took to Twitter and objected to this suspension. She is of an opinion that everyone has the right to share their views, whether you like it or not. Because of this, Sona is receiving a lot of backlash on Twitter with people tagging her as Hindutva Goon. However, she has perfect replies ready for all those criticising her.

One of the tweets stated that she is a Hindutva Goon as she supporting Rangoli. The tweet read, "Next time she goes to do a show in any Islamic country,The first she need to tell the people over there is that UR RELIGION NEED REFORMS.She is pukka Hindutva goon n has been supporting most dangerously yours Rangoli n many." To This, Sona responded saying that she has lost out concerts in Islamic countries to Armaan Malik and Salim-Sulaiman. She tweeted, "Sadly,mostly Indian Muslim artists get hosted in these Islamic countries & their concerts.I remember losing out shows to Armaan Malik in Maldives,Salim-Sulaiman too many times.Btw I go on stage in India & even in UP where it was fake-reported to have ‘banned’ it & sang Qawalis."

In the next tweet though, Sona shared that she only has love for these musicians and also loves the city of Istanbul. She tweeted, "& yes stating such an uncomfortable truth will make me a bigot?I have only Red heart for these musicians. Have collaborated with the band Strings, shot a music video with them in Istanbul,a city I love. Fought trolls who called me anti-national at that http://time.So yea."
