Kartik Aaryan found himself in hot water ever since he shared a video of himself with his sister on social media handle that set the platform on fire while accusing the actor of promoting misogyny and domestic violence. The video in question saw Kartik taking a bite of a roti made by his sister and after taking a bit he realized the rotis tasted bad and hence, he pulled his sister by her hair and swirled her around which seemed like he is throwing her down from the balcony. While sharing the video, he captioned it saying 'No compromise on quality'.
This video which is now deleted by the actor from his social media after it created havoc as many criticised him for sharing such videos. Sona Mahapatra, Rituparna Chatterjee, Onir were few celebs who called him out and slammed the actor for this controversial video. Today, yet again, Sona hits him back along with his PR team for staged articles against Sona. She also mentioned that his MCP (Male Chauvinist Pig) ego may have flared up.
Her tweet read, “Sad how u are now going around pushing ur PR ppl to put up headlines about how ‘all’ ‘netizens’ r ‘slamming’ me for having issue with ur ‘silly- dangerous’ video. I thought u realised ur folly @TheAaryanKartik, were genuine in your retraction when I that. MCP ego flared up?”
While in another tweet, she wrote, "You & others writing in with this logic, Ur not the same as @TheAaryanKartik the actor/ influencer dear, nor is his sister. Your videos & actions will be not be watched by millions & be blindly emulated.Tik-Tok is full of hideous such videos as it is. A star has to B more responsible."
