This seems to be never-ending. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was just coping up with the horror of the Jaipur attacks on his film Padmavati’s set, which happened just 1.5 months back and now the same shameful incidence has taken place again in another city.

Padmavati’s set was attacked at 10.30 pm on Tuesday in Kolhapur. The set was attacked by 40 to 50 people who barged in with lathis and stones and then set the place on fire. According to reports, there were animals present on the sets at the time the incidence took place. Some of the cars parked around the sets were also damaged.

Reportedly, Police has arrested a few involved in the shameful act. There is no official statement on the same from Sanjay Leela Bhansali as yet.

Earlier in January, Karni Sena activists entered the premises of Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur where Bhansali was shooting for Padmavati and attacked the crew and damaged property. While his team tried to protect SLB, a blow landed straight on the cowering, unarmed, filmmaker. A lot of Bollywood celebs condemned the attack and the incidence became a major issue at that time. Celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar took to social media to express their anger. Bhansali had even issued an official statement condemning the attack and said it was uncalled for.

The reason for the attack is distortion of certain historical facts according to a fringe Rajput outfit.

Reportedly, Bhansali is safe but the shooting has been stopped as of now.
