Shruti Haasan is in a busload of trouble after she walked out of a bilingual film she signed on to do starring Nagarjuna and Karthi, to be directed by Vamsi Paidipalli. She cited a clash of dates for her exit, even though according to the filmmakers her shooting schedule was carefully planned as per her convenience and dates discussed. In fact, one schedule had already been shot when Shruti suddenly sent an email saying she wanted out.
Obviously the makers have not taken this well, insisting that not only was it unprofessional behaviour on Shruti’s part, but that several crore rupees had already been spent, and much time and energy expended.
To make sure that the actress understands the gravity of the situation and to avoid such behaviour from anyone in the future, Picture House Media Ltd based in Chennai and Hyderabad has initiated civil and criminal proceedings against Shruti.
As a result, the actress has been banned by the court from singing any new film until a thorough police investigation has been conducted.
