Currently, with the COVID-19 pandemic taking several lives across the world, the lockdown in many countries has not been lifted as of yet to avoid the spread of the virus. On the other hand, actress Shriya Saran who is happily married to husband Andrei Koscheev is living in one of the most affected countries of the virus. As actress Shriya Saran is currently in Spain with her husband Andrei during the lockdown, the actress shares how her husband developed COVID-19 like symptoms while the hospital urged them to self-isolate at home.

Speaking with Bombay Times in an interview, Shriya Saran mentioned she has been under self-quarantine with her husband Andrei in Spain. Talking about the #LifeInTheLockdown, the actress mentioned how she has been under the lockdown for almost a month in Barcelona and shared it’s surreal how things drastically changed in front of them ever since COVID-19 hit first. Shriya went on to share her last experience when she headed out. The actress mentioned she stepped out with her husband Andrie on March 13 for their anniversary dinner, but upon reaching the location, they found the restaurant closed.

Moving on, Shriya Saran also opened up about how everything changed ever since they headed out, and mentioned how the police allowed only one person from a household to leave. The actress said, “As soon as Spain went under lockdown, the police completely restricted our movements. Andrei and I were once stopped by the cops, but since he is white and I’m brown, they didn’t realise we were  together, so they let us go.” Shriya also mentioned about her husband having COVID-19 symptoms like dry cough and fever, where later the doctors advised them to stay home and isolate or even they would contract the virus. Sharing what the doctors said, the actress said, “Chances are that even if he doesn’t have COVID-19, he will get it if he stays here.”


Shriya Saran then updated fans that her husband is fine now and said, “Thankfully, he’s feeling better now, so I hope the worst is behind us.” Meanwhile, as Shriya Saran shares an update with all her fans back in her country, the actress also mentioned missing the country, her parents and does video call with them regularly. She also shared that she is missing the Indian cuisine, but tries to cook at home with guidance from her mom. The actress also shared that how at 8PM everyone goes out at their balconies to clap and sing together.
