Shraddha Kapoor shared a piece of good news with all her fans and well-wishers out there. The Stree actress was last seen in the film Baaghi 3 and is gearing up for her next projects. In the meantime, it was yesterday that Shraddha was clicked outside producer Nikhil Dwivedi’s office. Many speculated that her visit was surely related to her upcoming project. Earlier today, reports stated that the Stree actress is set to essay the role of a Naagin in a trilogy produced by Nikhil Dwivedi. Now, Shraddha took to her social media to confirm playing the role of a Naagin in next and mentioned she is delighted.

On Twitter, Shraddha Kapoor tweeted, “It’s an absolute delight for me to play a Naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring and idolising Sridevi ma'am's Nagina and Nigahen and have always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore.@Nikhil_Dwivedi @FuriaVishal @saffronbrdmedia.”

Sharing the important news with fans, the actress announced that she is set to play Bollywood's iconic role of a shapeshifting serpent in her next project. She mentioned she is delighted to play Naagin on screen, in the movie backed by producer Nikhil Dwivedi. Moving on, Shraddha shared how she has admired watching, and idolising late Bollywood star Sridevi in Nagina and Nigahen and expressed she wanted to play something similar.

Meanwhile, as Shraddha Kapoor is thrilled to play the new-age Naagin the upcoming film, according to a report in the Times of India, the project is a three-film series. The report stated that Kapoor’s film will have exciting visual effects. The trilogy will be directed by Vishal Furia, who is known for his Marathi film, Lapachhapi.
