Humara Movie has come up with an anthology of 7 short films titled Shor Se Shuruaat. Having directors like Homi Adajania, Shyam Benegal, Sriram Raghavan, Nagesh Kukunoor, Mira Nair, Zoya Akhtar and Imtiaz Ali mentoring young filmmakers, this is going to be a big step in bringing up new age content among the audience.

Today we got in touch with Imtiaz Ali's mentee, Satish Raj Kasireddi, who has directed the short film Mia I'm. The budding filmmaker gave us an insight into the story.

Mia I'm is about how youngsters need to be more responsible towards themselves as well as others on the social media, which is a tool that can condemn you as well as redeem you. It's a journey of a girl who takes charge of her life after a traumatic incident, using her talent as a tool.

Will she be able to stand back on her feet? Or will the ways of the world get to her and make her go into psychotic depression? Well, you'll have that answered once you see the film.

While the story seems quite away from the regular Imtiaz Ali movies, Satish has skilfully managed to keep that essence of a strong coming-of-age intact just like Jab We Met (2007), Love Aaj Kal (2009) and Rockstar (2011).

Shor Se Shuruaat will also feature other short films like Dhvani, Aamer, Azaad, Decibel, Hell O Hello and Yellow Tin Can Telephone - all made under the common theme of 'Shor' (Noise).

Shor Se Shuruaat releases worldwide December 16.
