Humara Movie has come up with an anthology of 7 short films titled Shor Se Shuruaat. Having directors like Imtiaz Ali, Shyam Benegal, Sriram Raghavan, Nagesh Kukunoor, Mira Nair, Zoya Akhtar and Homi Adajania mentor young filmmakers, this is going to be a big step in bringing up new age content onto the audiences.

Today we got in touch with Homi Adajania's mentee, Arunima Sharma, who has directed the short Yellow Tin Can Telephone. The budding filmmaker gave us a bit about what audiences could expect from her short film in the Shor Se Shuruaat anthology.

Yellow Tin Can Telephone is the story of a girl who has an overdeveloped sense of hearing and a boy who has an overdeveloped sense of ‘association of colours’. The world is too noisy for her. The world is too colourful for him. He lives in black and white. She lives in silence. Sounds like quite an interesting premise for the story!

Far away from the noise of sound and colour, will these two young people find ways to trade their secrets? Well, you'll have to wait till the movie releases to get an answer to that.

Having worked with Homi a lot in her career, Arunima manages to bring in that subtle yet madly-in-love kind of romantic feel, which is so very evident in all Homi Adajania movies.

Shor Se Shuruaat will also feature other short films like Dhvani, Aamer, Azaad, Decibel, Hell O Hello and Mia I'm - all made under the common theme of 'Shor' (Noise).

Shor Se Shuruaat releases worldwide December 16.
