Following Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, now makers of fantasy drama Brahmastra have cancelled their Mumbai shooting schedule, amidst the outbreak of Coronavirus. With the entire world on a high alert, due to this rapidly spreading virus, filmmakers too don’t want to risk their team’s life by continuing to shoot as per their chalked out schedule. Rather they have decided to take time out, till things mellow down a bit and are suitable to function like before. This is third delay in Ayan Mukerji’s project.
As per reports in leading tabloid Mumbai Mirror, a source was quoted saying, “Both Ayan and Ranbir have decided to make the safety and well-being of the team their priority. They do not want to put them at any kind of risk. So, for now, the shoot has been shifted to April.” Thus, pushing the last leg of the film shoot to April now, setting the health and well being of the team on the priority. However, it won’t be worrisome for the film, as the film is scheduled to release in December 2021.
Talking about the film’s delay, it was scheduled to release in December 2019, then was pushed to Summer 2020 in order to complete some VFX work and now finally the film has locked December 2020.
Brahmastra is set to release on December 4, 2020.
