Ranveer Singh and
Deepika Padukone turned out to be a dazzling night with the who’s who of
Bollywood turning up to wish the newly married couple. While Katrina
Kaif and Anushka Sharma’s entries did raise eyebrows owing to the
rocky past they shared with Deepika, we were hoping to see Ranbir Kapoor attend
the gala bash too. However, the actor failed to make it. Nor did his girlfriend
Alia Bhatt.
Ranbir, who was
by his ailing father’s side in New York until recently, is back in Mumbai and
it was expected that he will attend the reception. More so because he shares a
warm equation with not only Deepika but also Ranveer Singh. A well-placed
source tells us, “I think Ranbir and Alia were shooting for a rather demanding
schedule of Brahmastra at a stretch and could not get away.”
Brahmastra
directed by Ayan Mukerji is all set to hit theatres on Christmas 2019. Besides
Ranbir and Alia, the fantasy film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkikeni
Nagarajuna and Mouni Roy among others. a few days ago,SpotboyE.com had brought
you the pictures of the two shooting a chase sequence for the film.
We still feel that Ranbir could have made it, even if it
was for a limited period. After all, the actor and Deepika have been so close
and also starred in a multiple films post their break-up. We wonder if the
Brahmastra shoot was the reason for Ranbir going incognito or was it something
else? We hear, his mobile phone was also unreachable.
