SHOCKING: Kangana Ranaut Sees ULTERIOR MOTIVE Behind Shabana Azmi’s Petition For Deepika Padukone’s Safety

Yesterday, news of Kangana Ranaut not being supportive of Deepika Padukone in the Padmavati controversy and refusing to sign the petition for the actress’ safety created a huge buzz in the industry.

And now, another shocking revelation by Kangana Ranaut has left us ruffled. The Queen actress has admitted to NOT SIGNING the petition but her reasons for not doing so have left us thoroughly disappointed.

In an interview to a leading daily, Kangana Ranaut has said, “I was filming Manikarnika in Jodhpur when I got a call from dear friend Anushka Sharma to sign the petition written by Ms. Shabana Azmi. I explained to her that Deepika Padukone has all my support but I am a bit wary of Shabana Azmi's investment in left-wing Vs right-wing politics. I have my own set of ideas and opinions about the current situation in our country. I am on the fence about many things and being a part of a feminist movement called Deepika Bachao led by someone who character assassinated me when I was bullied by influential men, seem to be one of them. Anushka understood but I am glad they reached out to me like I said Deepika has all my support I am an individual perfectly capable of supporting who I like without anyone's support.”

It’s quite appalling that Kangana has found an ulterior motive behind the petition which is about the safety of a woman, irrespective of it having a political agenda or not.

Also, is Ms Ranaut trying to say that those actresses who have signed the petition are not mature enough to understand the real reasons for the petition?

For those coming late, Shabana Azmi got every top female actor to sign a petition to the Prime Minister asking for Deepika’s safety and protection. The actresses who signed included Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha and many others who willingly, happily and  unconditionally signed the petition. When it came to Kangana Ranaut, she flatly refused to sign the petition leaving Azmi in shock.
