On Monday, A Delhi Court rejected the plea filed by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who is named as a suspect in the murder of famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. Bishnoi, who is serving time in Delhi's Tihar Jail, has reportedly moved to court fearing Punjab Police will kill him in a fake encounter. Now as per the latest report, Punjab Police will seek the custody of Lawrence Bishnoi in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.

Lawrence Bishnoi is currently lodged in the high-security ward in jail number 8 of Delhi’s Tihar jail. Several cases have been lodged against him in Delhi, Rajasthan, and Punjab. Bishnoi had threatened to kill many actors in the past, including Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan. He had once threatened to murder Salman in connection with the blackbuck poaching case.  

Reportedly, the Bishnois hold the blackbuck sacred and thus the 700-member Bishnoi gang once threatened to kill Khan. Reportedly, in 2018, Salman Khan’s security was beefed up after Haryana Police’s Special Task Force found out that the arrested gangster Sampat Nehra, a sharpshooter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was reportedly working to kill the actor. Sampat Nehra even carried out a recce to observe the movements of Salman to execute their plan. Meanwhile, Lawerence’s aide, Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar has claimed responsibility for Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder. Brar took the responsibility for the brutal attack on Moose Wala via Facebook and mentioned Sachin Bishnoi Dhattaranwali and Lawrence Bishnoi.

On Sunday, Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Mansa district, a day after the Punjab Police withdrew his security. Reportedly, more than 30 rounds were fired on the car Sidhu was driving. His autopsy revealed that around two dozen entry and exit bullet wounds were found on Moose Wala's body.

Reportedly, the assailants had conducted several reconnaissances to execute their plan and they succeeded on 29 May.
