The Punjab unit of Shiv Sena has announced an award of Rs 1 lakh for anyone who 'slaps' Aamir Khan.
The actor has come in the line of fire after he recently commented on 'intolerance' in India.
The announcement was made yesterday, during Sena's protests outside hotel MBD Raddison Blu in Ludhiana, where the actor was staying while shooting for Nitesh Tiwari's Dangal.
Rajeev Tandon, the party's Punjab chairman, says, "Courageous and patriotic persons who will slap Aamir Khan in Ludhiana will get Rs 1 lakh reward per slap from us."
Adds Tandon: "We give an opportunity to the manager and employees of the hotel and also the team of his film to slap Aamir and get Rs 1 lakh from us."
However, Shiv Sena on Thursday said Tandon's comment was not the party's official view.
