Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s husband Raj Kundra has remained in the headlines, after his arrest in July 2021 in his alleged involvement in producing pornographic content. The actress' husband was put behind the bars for almost two months, post which he was released on bail in September 2021. Following this, Raj Kundra on November 25, has approached Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail, but his bail plea was rejected. Hence, he moved to Supreme Court for the same.
Now as per reports in NDTV, the actress’ husband has heaved a sigh of relief, as the court granted him 4 weeks protection from arrest. The Supreme Court has communicated the same to the Maharashtra government regarding the bail petition filed by Kundra, requesting anticipatory bail. When the businessman has filed for a plea in High Court he had claimed though the content looked erotic, it did not fall under the category of pornographic content. He also claimed neither he was involved nor broadcasting such content as per allegations.
After his release, he deactivated his social media account and chose to make rare appearances in public. Raj Kundra was clicked with Shilpa Shetty during their religious visit to Jwalamukhi temple in Himachal Pradesh.
In July 2021, after his arrest Shilpa Shetty did not make any public appearances, she also took a break from her work commitment. But as many speculations began to circulate on the internet, she chose to release a statement. The statement requested the media to let the family have their privacy while the law of the country takes its course.
