After Kangana Ranaut’s bold and unapologetic interview with Republic TV surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, many big names from the industry hit the headlines. Now, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha in conversation with the said publication took a dig at filmmaker Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan and mentioned how such shows lead to different conversations, thus causing a stir in the industry. He also mentioned how the Bollywood industry doesn’t belong to a particular individual. Adding further in his conversation, people who are currently talking about the ongoing debate on nepotism too belong to the industry.
The veteran actor was quoted saying, “During our era, there was no Koffee with Arjun. These kinds of planned events lead to different kinds of conversations and become a talking point. As far as those who are being talked about at the moment are all members of our own society, but film industry kisi ki jaagir nahi hai (film industry was not anyone’s estate) that one could say that, ‘Let’s boycott this person’ or 'remove this person from the industry.”
He also added, “Who are you to say that? How did you enter the industry and what have you done in life?”
