Actress Sharmin Segal has constantly been in the limelight ever since the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Her portrayal of Alamzeb in the show left the netizens irked due to her ‘expressionless acting’. She was brutally trolled by the netizens as the discourse around the filmmaker casting her as one of the leading ladies of the show just because she was his niece started taking place. While the rest of the cast came out in her support, she was yet again trolled for her ‘arrogance’ towards her co-stars during the recent promotional interviews.

Having made her Bollywood debut with the film Malaal, yet another Bhansali project, in 2019, an old interview of Sharmin recently resurfaced. During the interview, she opened up about how she broke down in tears after SLB disapproved of a scene even after 30 takes during the shoot of the film. The film also launched Jaaved Jaaferi’s son Meezaan Jaaferi into the Hindi film industry. She opened up about a scene where her performance was repeatedly rejected, she shared, “Wo ek shot mein meri jo vaat lagi hai. Main normally 15 takes deti thi. Mujhe 25 takes lage hain uss din.” ALSO READ: ‘How Bi**hy And Arrogant Is She?’: Sharmin Segal Gets Mercilessly TROLLED After She Calls Heeramandi Co-Star Sanjeeda Sheikh An ‘Outsider’

The Free Press Journal further reports that whatever the 28-year-old actress had prepared for that particular day’s shoot went to waste as they were stuck on a single scene. Bhansali had informed her that he would be staying back for another shot. Talking about yet another scene which was not approved by the filmmaker even after 30 takes, she explained that it was then that she had a breakdown moment. She said, “Main gayi set pe. 30 takes, okay nahi hua. Uske baad main itni frustrate ho gayi.” While the Bajirao Mastani director-producer didn’t scold her, he simply told her that she had to do the scene again. She added, “I couldn't do it. And I cried after 30 takes.” ALSO READ: Aditi Rao Hydari On Heeramandi Co-Star Sharmin Segal Getting TROLLED For Bad Acting; Actress Says, ‘It Has Gotten Very MEAN, It's Not Fair’
