In the past, Shahid has called his wife Mira his biggest supporter and critic as well. As we speak of that, recently Shahid revealed what was Mira’s first reaction after watching ‘Udta Punjab’.
In an interview with News18, when he was asked if in real life the actor is an intense and angry young man, he responded that he is not at all an angry person in his personal life. Further, he shared an incident when he took his wife to watch the film and how she reacted.
Shahid shared, “When Mira and I just got married, I took her to see Udta Punjab before it was released, and we saw it in the editing room. I was going, so I was like, ‘You want to come?’ and she was like, ‘Yes, okay I’ll come’.When we started seeing the film, she was sitting right next to me, we were on a sofa. At interval time, when I turned towards her she was literally five feet away.”
The actor continued, “And I was like, ‘What happened?’ We had just married. Aur arranged marriage thi. We didn't know each other that well. She looked at me, and her first question was, ‘Are you this guy? Are you like him? I don’t want to be with you.'"
Shahid also added that later he made her understand that he only portrayed the character of a drug addict and he is not like Tommy Singh in real life.
Shahid has delivered one of the most promising performances of his career in Abhishek’s Chaubey ‘Udta Punjab’.
