Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is currently on cloud nine as he is basking in the success of his recent release Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, co-starring Kriti Sanon. Over the years, he has made a name for himself in the Hindi entertainment industry with his flawless dance moves, versatile performances, and charming on-screen presence. He recently hosted a segment at an Amazon Prime Video event, where filmmakers announced their upcoming projects which will stream on the OTT platform. While welcoming the Family Star’s cast on stage, Shahid proceeded to thank Vijay Deverakonda for doing a film like Arjun Reddy.
Crediting the success of Kabir Singh, the 43-year-old actor’s first solo blockbuster hit, Shahid affectionately kissed Vijay’s cheeks and expressed his gratitude. He stated that he got an opportunity to work in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial because the South star did a movie like Arjun Reddy. Quoted by The Quint, he rested his head on the Kushi actor’s shoulder and said, “I have to give him a lot of love. Naa Arjun Reddy bani hoti, naa Kabir Singh paida hota (If Arjun Reddy hadn’t been made then Kabir Singh would not be made either). Thank you, Vijay!” A video of the same is currently going viral on social media.

For the unversed, Kabir Singh was an official remake of Arjun Reddy. Both films were made by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the films, the makers, and well as the actors came under scrutiny. Despite raising concerns about the problematic behaviours of the lead heroes and the blatant show of toxic masculinity, the movie became an instant hit with the fans.
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor has an interesting lineup ahead of him. He has Deva and Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues in his pipeline. the actor had made an announcement of the same on Tuesday evening, leaving his fans ecstatic.
