The film has been postponed by a week. The film's producer Aman Gill said in a statement, "As a team, we have put our blood sweat and tears into 'Jersey' and would like our beloved film to reach all of you in the wildest possible way. Jersey will now release on 22nd April."
For the uninitiated, Shahid Kapoor starrer is a remake of the Telugu hit 'Jersey' which starred Nani in the lead role. Earlier during an Instagram live session, Shahid had said that Jersey's story, about a man who finds fame late in his life, resonated with him as he has also gone through his share of lows in his career.
Just like Shahid's fans, Nani is also excited about the film. Earlier, when Nani was asked if Shahid Kapoor will be able to play the part as well as he did, he told Pinkvilla, "Hundred percent. I think he will do it better. He is a brilliant performer and can really get into the skin of the character."
