Shahid Kapoor Reveals His Daughter's Name

Ever since Shahid Kapoor became a proud papa to a baby girl (Shahid Kapoor Is The Proud Papa Of A Baby Girl, Aug 26), fans have been waiting for him and his wife Mira Rajput to zero in on the newborn's name. And finally, their wait is over. The actor took to Twitter a couple of minutes ago to announce that her daughter is called Misha – a combination of Mi (ra) and Sha(hid)’s names.

Last year, Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra had named their newborn Adira by combining first three letters of Aditya and first two letters of Rani’s name.

Earlier this month, we had told you that Shahid and Mira are keen to name their baby after consulting Baba Gurinder Singh, head of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) that they are followers of. In fact, the couple along with Pankaj Kapur were to go to Beas, where the Baba resides (Guess Why Shahid Kapoor Has Still Not Named His Baby, Sep 5).

Shahid and Mira were blessed with a baby girl on August 26. The delivery took place at Hinduja Healthcare Surgical in Khar (West).
