Shah Rukh Khan has kept his fans waiting for the longest time as he hasn’t announced his any film after the debacle of Aanand L. Rai’s Zero. Though he was making some quality time for his family and chilling with them, fans certainly were missing to see him on the big screens. Nonetheless, as he is taking his time to pick a story, we have heard earlier that the star is in talks with Rajkumar Hirani, South director Atlee Kumar's next tentatively titled Sanki, Ali Abbas Zafar's next action saga and Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s next. Amongst all these, there were reports floating with SRK is more inclined to Hirani project even though no new developments were happening from both the parties.
Amid all this, now it said that the Stree writer duo Raj and DK have confirmed that Shah Rukh has confirmed to love their script. During a recent interview with Rajeev Masand, Stree producers and writers confirmed it saying that SRK has loved the script but along with approval, the superstar also gave them a piece of advice which seemed to be a lot thoughtful. He asked them to make the film how it should be instead of bogging down by the star or actor in it.
Sharing Shah Rukh’s reaction to the script, DK said, “We just told him a story that we wanted to say and he immediately loved it.” Raj went on to add, “He did say ‘your script is great, it is important to keep the script intact. So whatever happens in that journey, make sure the script remains what you guys wanted it to be. Make the film it should be, don’t be bogged down by the star or actor in it’.” Giving the exact gist of Shah Rukh’s advice, DK chipped in to say, “That’s his way of saying that even if I offer suggestions, don’t feel compelled to take it.”
Raj also quipped, “After many, many meetings, he’d still say the same. I think it’s wonderful that he is so open to it. It is one of our favourite scripts we have been holding on, thinking let’s do it at the right time, whenever. It's exciting if we can pull it off with him.” With this, we are excited to see King Khan after a year.
