As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Déjà Vu Farms, which belongs to Shah Rukh Khan’s mother in law Savita Chhiba and sister-in-law Namita Chhiba, has come under the radar for violations of the Bombay Tenancy Act. It's being reported Savita and Namita have been fined Rs 3 crore for one of the farm's properties, a farmhouse with a lavish bungalow that hosted several B-town bashes, including SRK's 52nd birthday. The property is worth Rs 146.7 million; however, its market price goes five up to five times the amount states a report in Business Standard. It was first on January 29, 2018, that Déjà Vu Farms was issued a notice by former collector Vijay Suryavanshi.

As per the notice, after the plot was purchased, Raigad's former additional collector had allotted permission for agricultural on it on May 13, 2005. It added that, however, the original farmhouse was soon demolished and new properties were built, which violated Section 63 of the Bombay Tenancy Act. AS per Mirror, a few hearings have taken place on this matter, and on January 20, 2020, the collector issued an order, which states that a fine of Rs 3.09 crore should be deposited as a penalty for violation of rules. Confirming the same, Vijay Suryavanshi, who is now commissioner of Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation, said to the daily, "Yes, I issued an order of penalty of Rs 3 crore on the bungalow owner."

Soon after the fine is deposited, the officials will make the transfer of the property in question as legal; however, action under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code and the Maharashtra Regional Town planning Act will continue. The order was issued in the name of Moreshwar Ajgaonkar, who was among one of Déjà Vu's former directors.

Survayanshi added to the portal, "The order was issued in the name of Ajgaonkar and was sent to the address mentioned in the case papers. I am not aware whether the fine has been paid or not." (ALSO READ - Shah Rukh Khan Hailed For His Gentlemanly Gesture; Helps A PhD Scholar As Her Hair Gets Stuck – VIDEO)
