Amitabh Bachchan's Diwali bash saw the half of Bollywood in attendance. From Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan and others; it saw many glamorous faces. However, an unfortunate incident took place. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's manager Archana Sadanand suffered a freak accident as her lehenga caught fire. In the wee hours of Monday, her lehenga caught fire due to a diya and thanks to Shah Rukh Khan's presence of mind, she got saved.
As per a report in Mid-day, Shah Rukh Khan came to her rescue and helped to extinguish the fire. In doing so, even he sustained a few burn injuries. As per the report, the leading publicist, who has been admitted to Nanavati Hospital and is kept in ICU, has sustained upto 15% burns. Describing the incident, a source quoted to the tabloid, "Archana was with her daughter in the courtyard when her lehenga caught fire. Those around were stunned and didn't know what to do. Shah Rukh had the presence of mind, rushed to Archana, and put out the fire. He, too, sustained minor burns while dousing the flames with a jacket. His only thought was to put out the fire."
While we saw all the glamorous pictures and selfies coming from the party, this bit of news has left everyone in shock. We hope both, Shah Rukh Khan and Sadanand, are recovering well from their injuries.
Just a few days ago, Amitabh Bachchan too was admitted to Nanavati hospital as he was suffering from some liver ailments. Three days before the Diwali bash, Big B was discharged from the hospital.
