Bollywood superstar and filmmaker Shah Rukh Khan made the headlines on Wednesday evening after he was hospitalised at the KD Hospital in Ahmedabad due to severe dehydration. According to multiple media reports he suffered from heat stroke. The news surfaced hours after he celebrated the win of his Indian Premiere League (IPL) cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The team won the qualifier and reached the finals after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad. After the match, despite feeling unwell, he met with a specially-abled fan and hugged him.

A video of the heartwarming moment is currently going viral on X (formerly known as Twitter) where not only does SRK hug the fan, but he also obliges to the requests for photographs. The video was shared online, with the caption, “After the match yesterday, even though Shah wasn’t feeling well, he met with a specially-abled fan and took pictures with him. No media ppl around, but the same kindness and humility as always @iamsrk.” In the video, the 58-year-old actor can be seen with his manager and security team. Talking about his health update, the co-owner of KKR, Juhi Chawla visited Khan at the hospital along with her husband Jay Shah. Shedding light on the same, the actress told News18, “Shah Rukh was not feeling too well last night but he is being attended to and was feeling much better this evening. On the work front, after his movie Zero (2018) failed to do good business at the box office, the actor took a break. He went on to do cameo roles in movies like Lal Singh Chaddha, Brahmastra, and The Nambi Effect. He returned to the big screens with a bang in 2023 with blockbuster movies like Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. The actor is yet to announce his next project. If reports are to be believed, he will be making a return to YRF’s spy universe with Tiger VS Pathaan and Pathaan 2. He will reportedly be sharing the screen space with his daughter Suhana Khan for their upcoming film King.
