“When I was struggling work I used to end up going for every audition, and once a producer called me to a shady place and his first question was Are you comfortable in bed?” said Ashish. He also went on to reveal that he would often get calls from ladies who wanted to talk dirty over the phone and even messages from film producers which left him in a fix.

Ashish further said: "There are film producers who irritate the hell out of you with their messages. If you don't reply, they know you have read it, I feel stuck because if I respond what do I write? Even if I dodge the question, they come back to the same topic again."

Although, the actor kept his cool during the phase but these things have affected him on a certain level. "As it is as a struggler, one is spending money on travelling for different auditions and I am short on money and you call me for this,” he elaborated.

Ashish Bisht Poses For A Candid Picture

There were rumours about Ashish compromising with filmmaker Onir for a role in Shab. Clearing the air about these allegations, he said: “I know very well what I have done or not done. I don't need to clarify 'on compromises' I feel people will always talk as they need to hunt for gossip. But I respect Onir sir. I never thought I'll get a project without compromising, but I did.”

He also feels like casting couch, nepotism too is a part of the industry. “The day Yash Raj Films decided to launch newcomers Anya Singh and Aadar Jain, I also had my media interactions but no one turned up. Everyone went to meet the filmy freshers who have not even signed a film yet,” he said on a concluding note.
