Sex Scenes Of Ex-Lovers Aditya & Shraddha Get A Clean Chit!

Shraddha and Aditya’s on-screen kissing and lovemaking scenes had become the talk of the town. For those who thought that these scenes won’t find a way into the film, this one’s for you...

Shraddha Kapoor has been in the news past 3 days, as SpotboyE.com revealed how she had to return to her parents’ house from lover Farhan Akhtar’s home, forcefully (Shraddha Moves In With Lover Farhan, Papa Shakti Drags Her Back Home, Dec 28).

And now we have more news on the Galiyaan girl, which is coming straight from the Censor Board’s office in Walkeshwar. Over the weekend, while you and I were busy celebrating the New Year’s Eve, ex-lovers Shraddha and Aditya were biting their  nails. Wonder why? Well, their film Ok Jaanu was under the Censor Board’s scissors and knowing the history of the Board, of course the two were imagining a lot of damage considering the film is quite bold.

Turns out, a pleasant surprise waited for them to begin their 2017. Aditya and Shraddha’s Ok Jaanu has been granted a U/A certificate with only 4 verbal cuts, keeping all the sex and kissing scenes intact. We hear that the makers – Mani Ratnam, Karan Johar and Shaadi Ali, are also relieved, as they believed that the film depicts a live-in relationship and would get scrutinized minutely.

This one’s a second surprise from the Board. When the Censor Board passed YRF’s Befikre, starring Ranveer and Vaani, without chopping any of the kissing scenes, everyone was shocked!

“Why should I cut kissing if it is not in bad taste? Befikre is a youthful film. Look at the treatment that the film has been given. It clearly spells out that the intention of the producer (Aditya Chopra) is not wrong.” - These were Pahlaj Nihalani’s words when he was asked about his liberal approach towards Yash Raj’s Befikre.

At that time a lot of questions were raised on Nihalani’s move, doubting him for being biased with YRF, but he has proven everyone wrong with his latest decision to pass Aditya-Shraddha’s OK Jaanu with a U/A certificate and no cuts on the kissing/lovemaking scenes. That means that all that you see in the trailer and songs will find a way into the film, without being toned down.

Well, it looks like that the Censor Board has finally started understanding that such intimate scenes are organically a part of any love story. So if you thought that the exception was only made for Yash Raj Films (Befikre), then think again, as the Censor Board has now toned down on clamping the intimacy in films.

Coming back to Befikre and Ok Jaanu, we are sure that the other filmmakers who intend to showcase intimacy in their films will heave a sigh of relief as the hotness and boldness quotient of their film is most likely to be retained by the Censor Board, which has a broader and fresh approach to intimacy now.
