Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to blaze the silver screen with their upcoming fantasy drama ‘Brahmastra’ which releases tomorrow. Ayan Mukerji’s directorial has created a huge buzz for obvious reasons and is touted to be the most-anticipated movie of 2022. With just a day left to its release, the private screening of the film will be held today in Mumbai and it is expected to be attended by Alia-Ranbir families and close friends. However, Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt will be skipping the private screening.
Yes, you read that right! The proud daddy has decided to skip the private screening in order to experience the film with the audience. A source close to Mahesh's family told Etimes, “Mr Bhatt plans to go and watch the film with the audience. He has decided to buy a ticket and watch this special film on his own and not at an industry or private screening. Interestingly, Mahesh Bhatt returned to direction after a long gap of 19 years with 'Sadak 2' which starred his daughter Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, and others.
On a related note, ‘Brahmastra’ is made on a budget of a whopping Rs. 300 crores, and advance booking for the film has already started. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. Shah Rukh Khan is expected to make a cameo in the same. Brahmastra, produced by Karan Johar will release in four other languages, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam besides Hindi.
