Renowned television and Bollywood actress Delnaaz Irani expressed her shock at the sudden passing of veteran actor Satish Kaushik. At the age of 66, he passed away due to a heart attack while he was in Delhi visiting a friend. In an interaction with News18, the actress reminisced about her last meeting with the late actor and shared an update of the health of his wife Sashi.
The duo worked together in Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor starrer Milenge Milenge. Talking to the media publication, Irani revealed that not only was Kaushik her director but also a family friend. She is very close to his family, especially his wife and their daughter Vanshika. She expressed that life is very unpredictable as anything can happen in the next moment. She also reminisced about meeting him a few days back when he was attending a meeting and she was with a bunch of her friends.

Delnaaz went on to add that when she had spoken to Shashi in the morning, after hearing about the sad news, she was in tears and wasn’t in the mental state to talk to anyone. The actress also recalled working with the director for Milenge Milenge.
She recalled, “The film was shot in parts of Delhi, Bangkok and Mumbai. Hanste khelte kaam karte the hum. It was so much fun! I’m just waiting for some information about when they’re bringing him to Mumbai. We’ve had a lovely and fantastic working relationship. Besides that, he was a friend and somebody one could talk to and have a light conversation with. It was always nice meeting Satish ji.”
For the unversed, Satish Kaushik was an alumnus of the National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India. After starting his career in theatre, he went on to make a name for himself in Bollywood as an actor, director, producer, screenwriter and a comedian. He has movies like Mr India, Deewana Mastana, Brick Lane, Saajan Chale Sasural, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Prem, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain and Tere Naam among many others to his credit. He will be last seen in Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency.
