Actor Ranjan Sehgal, a popular face in Punjabi and Hindi film industry, passed away due to multiple organ failure, as reported by the Times of India. Ranjan Sehgal who appeared in film Sarbjit starring Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and other TV shows was 36 years-old. Ranjan is a well-known Punjabi actor and is mostly known for his role in films like Mahi NRI (2017), and Yaaran Da Katchup (2014). Sehgal who is originally from Chandigarh, Punjab completed his Master’s degree in Theatre from Punjab University.
Ranjan Sehgal also featured in TV shows and worked in several popular television shows, by far. Sehgal rose to fame after his TV hit show Rishton se badi…Pratha. The show gave the actor required recognition in the industry, after which, he also featured in many other television shows like Tum Dena Sath Mera, Gustakh Dil, Bhawar and Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re and Kuldeepak. The late actor also worked in television shows like Savdhan India and Crime Patrol, mostly playing the role of a police officer.
Talking about Ranjan Sehgal’s sad and untimely demise, the actor who died due to a multiple organ failure had been unwell for quite a long time. Ranjan Sehgal who was passionate about acting tied the knot with costume designer Nivya Chhabra on February 24, 2014, a year after they got engaged. The couple met on the sets of a Punjabi show and also worked together in the show Tum Dena Saath Mera.
Meanwhile, Ranjan Sehgal enjoyed a huge fan base. His fans loved and adored him for his acting skills. The sad news of the actor’s sudden and untimely demise has left his fans heartbroken. On the other hand, Ranjan Sehgal’s film Mahi NRI co-star, Polly Jabbal spoke with a regional daily and remembered the late actor for his helpful nature. Jabbal also recalled how her late co-star was a good teacher and actor and expressed her disbelief at the news of his demise.
