Alok Nath’s son, Shivang Nath was booked for drunk driving last night as he was returning from a friend’s birthday party. According to reports, the youngster had to pay a fine of Rs 2,600 and his car was confiscated and kept at the Santa Cruz Police Station.
Reportedly, Nath was driving the car when he was stopped by traffic police near Khar Police Station. However, instead of pulling over, he sped off. He was then chased by the officials who caught up with the car near Santa Cruz.
Reports in certain section of the media also suggest that Shivang attempted to switch positions with a female friend, to make it look like she'd been driving all along. However, before he could do that successfully, the police had caught up with him. He also created a ruckus at the police station when he was being booked for the offence.
Shivang’s father, Alok Nath for has been part of several hit films such as Hum Apke Hain Koun, Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath Saath Hain and Vivah among others. Internet memes on his ‘sanskari’ image in late 2013 propelled his popularity.
