Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan are all set to reunite after years. The director-actor duo were set to reunite for the film Inshallah, however, it was eventually shelved just days before it was slated to go on the floors. And now, as per a latest report in Pinkvilla, the duo is set to reunite for SK's docu-series, Beyond The Star. The docu-series capture Salman Khan's journey in Bollywood and will also give an insight into his personal life, his equation with his co-stars and friends and more.
The report states that the makers of the docu-series started approaching the directors, producers, actors with some receiving a request from Salman Khan himself. It further added, "Bhansali was one of those and the filmmaker immediately agreed to be a part of this docu-series. He has already shot for his portions and shared his personal stories of friendship and affection with Salman."
"They are not planning to collaborate on a feature film anytime soon, but they keep interacting on and off over the call-in times of need. There is no bad blood despite Inshallah being abruptly put on hold," the report added. The series is in the making for an OTT giant. It will be jointly produced by Salman Khan Films with Wiz Films and Applause Entertainment. Salman and Sanjay Leela Bhansali earlier duo earlier worked together on the film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'. The movie also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ajay Devgn.
