Actor Sanjay Kapoor hails from a well-known film family. With filmmaker Boney Kapoor and actor Anil Kapoor as his brothers, he never matched the success his siblings achieved over the years. He soon became a forgettable face in the Hindi film industry, as he faced many challenges while establishing himself as a credible actor. Trying to make his mark yet again by starring in web series’ and movies, he has now opened up about his career journey and how his elder brother didn’t come to his rescue when he was going through a tough phase in his career.

It is to be noted that filmmaker Boney Kapoor had launched him in Bollywood with a lead role in the 1995 film Prem. Despite starring in big-budgeted projects, Sanjay failed to succeed in his career as an actor. He was offered many small roles by a few directors. Recalling how his brother could have easily cast him in the role essayed by Fardeen Khan in No Entry, the 58-year-old actor revealed that his elder brother didn’t help him when he was struggling. During his interaction on Shivani Pau’s podcast, he stated that Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan were already cast in the film, so the movie would have been a hit even if he had been cast. He said, “There already was Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan in its cast, so he could have sold the picture anyway. The picture would have done well anyway even if he took me. Things would have still happened the way it happened and No Entry would have been a blockbuster.” ALSO READ: Boney Kapoor Touches Priyamani Inappropriately At Maidaan Screening, Netizens BRUTUALLY Troll Him For His 'Creepy' Behaviour – WATCH

He went on to explain that the role went to the Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar actor, he stated that Fardeen was more sellable than him. The Murder Mubarak actor added, “he took Fardeen because, at that time, he was more sellable than me. I haven’t worked in my brother’s production in the last 20 years. When I was producing films and going through this low (phase), it was not that they didn’t love me. But it is business at the end of the day.”

A few weeks ago, after much chatter surrounding the sequel of the hit blockbuster No Entry, filmmaker Boney Kapoor, during the promotions of Maidaan revealed that No Entry 2 will star Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. If reports are to be believed, the trio will be accompanied by 10 actresses.
