Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt undertook a visit to the Vishnupad Temple in Gaya, Bihar, to conduct pind daan for his parents. A video circulating on social media captures the 64-year-old actor engaged in the rituals. In the footage, Sanjay is attired in a white kurta and pyjama, adorned with tilak on his forehead. The actor can be seen earnestly performing the pind daan for his parents and ancestors. Subsequently, Dutt was spotted leaving the temple premises under tight security. ANI shared the video on X (formerly known as Twitter) and reported, "Actor Sanjay Dutt offered prayers at Vishnupad Temple in Gaya and performed 'Pind Daan' of his parents and ancestors today." Observed on January 11, Pausha Amavasya is considered auspicious for performing Pitru Puja. Additionally, it marks the first Amavasya of 2024. Pind Daan, a sacred Hindu ritual, is devoted to honoring departed souls. Conducted by the deceased's relatives, this ceremony holds great significance in Hindu traditions. Sanjay Dutt's father, the esteemed actor Sunil Dutt, passed away on May 25, 2005, in Mumbai, following a heart attack. Conversely, his mother, iconic actress Nargis, succumbed to pancreatic cancer in 1981, a mere three days before Sanjay made his Bollywood debut with the film "Rocky." Exiting the temple, Sanjay was queried about the Pranpratishtha ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Responding to the media, he expressed, "It is a good thing. I will definitely go." On the work front, Sanjay Dutt was last seen playing a cameo role in Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan.
