Now, the actor has penned an emotional note for his late father Sunil Dutt as he remembered the late actor-politician on his birth anniversary.
He also shared a picture his 'jaadu ki jhappi' moment with his father, and said that Sunil will always be his hero.
Sunil Dutt was not just a legendary film star, instead, he was also a producer, director, and politician. Sunil Dutt would have been 92 today, and on his birth anniversary, Sanjay Dutt shared a throwback picture with him, while remembering him through an emotional post.
Taking to his social media handle on Monday, he shared two pictures to mark the occasion. He captioned them, "Your belief and love helped make me who I am today. You were, are, and will always be my hero. Happy birthday, Dad," and also added a red heart emoji.
The recently shared picture comes from their film Munna Bhai MBBS.
Munna Bhai MBBS was the last film of Sunil Dutt, who died of a heart attack in May 2005. The comedy-drama film starred him as Hariprasad Sharma, the father to his real-life son Sanjay, who appeared as the titular character Murliprasad Sharma aka Munna Bhai.
In an emotional scene in the film, Murli gives his father a hug, which he refers to as 'jaadu ki jhappi.'
