Bhoomi, starring Sanjay Dutt and Aditi Rao Hydari,
promised to be a bloody revenge drama but the censors have asked the makers to
tone it down. The Censor Board has given its verdict and has demanded 12 cuts.
In addition to the 12 cuts, Sunny Leone's song has
been trimmed to such an extent that viewers will not get to see anything more
than what they have already seen of it on television. Not just that, a rape
scene has been trimmed as well.
Cuss words, a kissing scene and some dialogues will be
replaced too.
Commenting on the verdict and CBFC's demand, the film's
director Omung Kumar said, "I knew this was going to happen. It is a
sensitive subject, so we have gone ahead and done the needful.'' He also added,
"There were some scenes where blood is seen. I have done films like 'Mary
Kom' and 'Sarabjit', so I was prepared for it."
The audience can't wait to watch Sanjay Dutt's comeback
film. Bhoomi has got a U/A certificate and will hit the theatres on 22nd
September.
