Actor Sanjay Dutt was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in August 2020. His wife Maanayata Dutt revealed his diagnosis via a statement and the actor went to the US for the treatment. Last year, on the occasion of his twins, Iqra and Sharaan's tenth birthday, Sanjay shared on social media that he has beaten cancer. He shared a statement with his fans about his health, saying that he has emerged ‘victorious’ in the battle.
Now, in a recent interview, the Agneepath actor has opened up about his battle with cancer and said it was all about “willpower and keeping the faith.” While speaking about his battle, Sanjay told a news portal that it “eventually came down to willpower and keeping the faith.” The actor mentioned that by God’s grace and the support of his family, doctors, and well-wishers, he was able to recover completely.
Earlier, On October 21, 2020, Sanjay shared the happy news about emerging victorious in the cancer battle on his Instagram. His statement read, “The last few weeks were very difficult time for my family and me. But like they say, God gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. And today, on the occasion of my kids’ birthday, I am happy to come out victorious from this battle and be able to give them the best gift I can--the health and well-being of our family.”
On the work front, the Munna Bhai actor has many interesting lineups in his kitty. Amongst them is the upcoming film 'Shamshera' with Ranbir Kapoor, actioner 'Prithiviraj' co-starring Akshay Kumar, and ‘KGF2’.
