Pan-Indian filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently riding high due to the success of his recent release Animal. The movie and the cast have been making the headlines, ever since the release of the film. A few days ago, during an interaction with a media portal, actor Bobby Deol, who essays the role of Abrar in the movie, revealed that his character was supposed to kiss Ranbir Kapoor’s Ranvijay Singh Balbir during the climax scene. Now, the director has opened up about the same and he revealed why he edited the scene out.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, the 51-year-old filmmaker opened up about the kiss that was supposed to happen between the mute antagonist and the hero of his film. He revealed that in the scene Abrar kisses Ranvijay on the cheek, before telling him that he didn’t even get the chance to spend a day with his father. Bobby’s character proceeds to open his zip. He went on to add that even though while shooting the final showdown scene it seemed amazing, however “I felt like the kiss was diluting the zip.”

Recalling how superb shooting the climax sequence was, Sandeep shared, “the way Ranbir looks, and even he has tears, and the way he removes the cover of the knife, the way he took a turn, and the sunset is happening, all that really helped the scene. Superb it was.”
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles. Released on 1 December 2023. the movie has garnered a lot of mixed chatter because of its toxic and ignorant dialogues and plotline. The movie has become one of the highest-grossing movies of 2023 in Bollywood.
